This system has been accepted by renowned Universities all over the world as the benchmark for assessing the student’s communicative skills in English.

IELTS has two versions- Academic & General. This system is recognized as a means of evaluation to get an understanding as to whether the candidates are ready to study or train in the medium of English and also for the purpose of immigration.

The TOEFL is offered in a different version the new format is the iBT that assesses the language skills of the candidate in the following segments i.e. listening, speaking, reading and writing.

This examination is required by most institutions and programs granting masters or doctorate degrees (PhD).
The basic break up is as follows:-
Analytical writing, Verbal section and Quantitative (Mathematics section).

SAT is accepted by almost every college and university as part of the admission and placement process. The test is designed to measure the ability of the students to reason using facts based on the general knowledge of the candidate or the data given.

There are ten sections that deal with the writing and reading skills and also test the candidates on their mathematical skills and critical reading.

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a standardized test that measures verbal, mathematical and analytical writing skills. It is intended to help the graduate schools of business assess the potential of applicants for advanced study in business and management. Nearly 900 management institutes all over the world (almost all of them in the US) require GMAT scores from each applicant for admission to the MBA program.

The GMAT tests the fundamental skills - Reasoning and Comprehension included - and does not require any subject-specific theoretical study. The US Universities require 16 years education for admission to graduate studies. However if the candidate has more than 3 years of work experience some universities may waive the 16th year requirement.

The Occupational English Test (OET) is a language test for overseas qualified health professionals. The Test assesses the English language proficiency as it is used in medical and health professions. The Test measures the language competency of health professionals and is designed to ensure that language competency is assessed in a relevant professional context.
